Together, We Can Make A Difference

Food

FOOD

PHFTC provides food and animals to feed an after-school program of 50 children as well as donations of food for two disabled children’s homes. In addition, we supply a Roma village co-op with food  that they may  purchase at a reduced price to feed their children. Additionally, we contribute to water systems when wells have been contaminated. Your support not only feeds children, but alleviates potential abandonment by parents who can’t afford to feed their children.

Hygiene and Health

HYGIENE AND HEALTH

PHFTC provides hygiene products such as: shampoo, lotion, detergent, and feminine products to our partner hospitals and NGO’s. In addition, we purchase vital medical items as needed for hospital use such as thermometers, scales and nebulizers.. Though the state run hospitals have budgets they aren’t always able to stock the facility in an appropriate manner.

Sustainability

SUSTAINABILITY

Through your donations, PHFTC has been able to help build a classroom, kitchen, as well as food and storage buildings for our after-school program partner. We also purchase paper bead bracelets from female entrepreneurs at a local NGO, sell the beads, then reinvest the profits into a food co-op therefore empowering women and keeping children in the homes.

Baby

BABY SUPPLIES

Because of your support  PHFTC is able to supply items such as diapers, wipes, toys, stuffed animals, and books to a pediatric hospital in Romania. Sadly, social babies are left for weeks and months at a time. Our goal is to assist the hospital  by providing for babies living at the hospital,  giving as much stimulation and comfort as possible.

Project Hope for the Children
We Stand with Ukraine

We, at PHFTC, are heartbroken for the Ukrainian people about the ongoing invasion by the Russian government. PHFTC is directly connected to this issue, because not only are the Ukrainians our fellow human beings and children of God who are suffering, but also because the mission of PHFTC originally started in Romania, which immediately borders Ukraine. So we might say the Ukrainians are our ‘neighbors,’ so to speak. In the Bible, Mark 12:31 tells us, “Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” PHFTC is showing our love by doing whatever possible to support the various non-profits and organizations that we know and partner with in Romania, who are there on the ground, helping the Ukrainians.

Here are a few examples of what some of our partnering groups in Romania are doing:

  • They are picking up Ukrainian refugees up at the Romanian border and bringing them to their centers to house, feed, minister to them, many are mothers and their children.
  • Our partnering groups are also buying medicine to bring to the border to help Ukrainians coming into Romania who need critical medicines.
  • The refugees may stay temporarily before they continue onto other locations to meet family/friends or they may need more permanent housing.
  • Some of the orphans at the centers are able to give back by being God’s hands and feet, and showing God’s love to these refugees coming to stay with them.

PHFTC has already set aside $5000 (and possibly more) and is currently shopping for supplies and having them delivered to our partners. We have also arranged to pay for much needed medicines that will be taken across the border into Ukraine next week. We would love for you to join us in supporting our ‘neighbors,’ the Ukrainians. To ensure your PHFTC donation is going specifically towards helping the Ukrainians, please ensure you write ‘Ukrainian Support’ on your check memo or donation note. Let’s help the Ukrainians and the Romanian in this very hard season and show the love of Christ that He has given us. “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” -John 13:35.
